Applying to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can feel overwhelming.
Applying for the NDIS can be confusing, particularly when trying to understand the evidence required to demonstrate how a disability impacts everyday life.
OBSC4U provides clear guidance to help prospective participants prepare a strong application and understand the process.
Support to access the NDIS may be helpful if you or someone you support:
• Has a permanent disability and is unsure if they meet the NDIS access criteria
• Has been told they may be eligible for the NDIS but does not know where to start
• Needs help understanding what medical or professional evidence is required
• Has reports but is unsure whether they meet NDIS requirements
• Has previously applied for the NDIS and was declined
• Needs guidance working with doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists or other professionals to gather the right evidence
We help prospective participants and their families understand the NDIS access requirements and what information is needed to support a strong application.
Support may include:
• Explaining the NDIS access criteria
• Identifying the most appropriate medical or professional evidence required
• Assisting with the completion of the Access Request Form (ARF)
• Working with treating professionals to ensure reports address NDIS requirements
• Providing guidance on how disability impacts everyday functioning
Many applications are delayed or declined because the evidence provided does not clearly explain how a disability impacts a person’s daily life. OBSC4U helps prospective participants ensure their application includes clear information about diagnosis, functional impact and permanency.
With extensive experience working within the NDIS system, including previous experience as a Senior Planner with the NDIA, OBSC4U understands what information decision-makers need to see when assessing an access request.
To date, all prospective participants supported through this process have successfully accessed the NDIS.
If you or someone you support may be eligible for the NDIS and would like guidance through the process, we would be happy to assist.

Support to assist with preparing an NDIS access application is provided as a consultancy service, as this support occurs before a person becomes an NDIS participant and therefore cannot be funded by the NDIS.
OBSC4U offers this support at a low-cost rate of $25 per hour to make guidance through the application process accessible to people who may need assistance.
Most applications require between 6 and 10 hours of support, depending on the complexity of the person’s situation and the amount of existing evidence available.
Support may include:
• Explaining the NDIS access criteria
• Identifying the most appropriate medical or professional evidence required
• Reviewing existing reports and documentation
• Providing guidance to treating professionals on NDIS evidence requirements
• Assisting with completion of the Access Request Form (ARF)
• Preparing supporting documentation where required
